Moulin Rouge

Hey folks. How's life?
Good. Great. Nice to hear that you're doing well. I am doing well. Relatively well, I guess. Life is certainly no bed of roses. But,
"The show must go on!" so claims the oversized comic tenor from moulin rouge.

I just watched moulin rouge and I really think it's fantastic. Its an understatement to claim that it is only the best love musical-movie of the decade. Ok, I know it's a really old-school movie and stuffs but it is really fantastic. I am sure that there're easily a million people who concur with me on that.

A particular line from the movie struck me hard. Smack in the head.
"The greatest thing you'll ever know, is to love and be loved in return."
And yesh, I know. A lot of you folks are thinking that that's such a cliche line.
I don't. If you really just think about it, it makes a hellota sense. When was the last time you felt so warm in your heart that you could love the world regardless of her ugliness? For the married and the attached folks, that one time would easily be when your spouse/mate got you the sweetest gift that was just right for you. It could easily be a simple and cheap gift, but at the right time and with the right smile, that sweetest gift from your loved ones must've sparked you to the moon.
For the S.A.A.(that would be Single and Available for the uninitiated), that one warmest moment probably came from you doing something for the guy/gal you're helplessly falling for, and him/her reciprocating your gifts or actions.
So you see, folks. From both scenarios drawn, we can see that love is awesome. I think the world bows down to awesome love. To love and be loved in return.

It may not be the greatest thing, but it is a GREAT thing.
I love you, my rib.
